I’ve been writing software in one form or another for over 30 years. When I bought a NAS to backup my PC, I never thought I’d find the field of instant backup software so painful.
The NAS was to be my backup system, the thing that would make everything easy.
As if! Everything I tried was difficult to use, or performed badly. So I thought I’d write my own. In the words of Jeremy Clarkson, and as my long suffering wife keeps reminding me: “How hard can it be?”
Since then, backup software has taken over my life.
